Landscape Brands
Since its launch in 1997, Teach For America Week has enlisted hundreds of America’s most notable individuals to share their knowledge and personal insights with thousands of students. Members of the Landscape Brands leadership team participated in Teach For America Week February 21-25, 2011. Teach For America’s mission is to eliminate educational inequity by enlisting our nation's most promising future leaders in the effort.

Notable past participants include: On February 22, 2011 Landscape Brands’ Director of Human Resources, Courtney Willbrand, met with Mr. David Bosch’s fourth grade class at Walbridge Elementary School in St. Louis, MO. The class learned how Landscape Brands products are designed and manufactured. Each student was asked to design their own site furnishings in a classroom contest. The class selected La’Mya’s design as the winner. Her design was turned in to a CAD rendition.

Landscape Brands’ Industrial Designer also selected Keshawn’s drawing to be turned in to a CAD rendition. Keshawn’s drawing was selected based on the originality of his design. His litter receptacle has a rocket booster and dispenses sodas when you put trash in it.
